I hope everyone is staying safe from the effects of Hurricane Helene 🖤 A little bit of extra time at home has meant a few extra office hours for me.

I’m working on something super special! I have a client who requested a surprise trip—how fun is that?! I have been working on getting her details all squared away, and I cannot wait for the reveal. This has been so fun for me!

She and I discussed her preferences, budget, and other important details (like where she DOESN’T want to go), and now she is completely entrusting me to set her up with a fun adventure. She’ll get information a couple of weeks before the trip from me with some must knows and guidelines on how to pack, etc., but will not know her destination until she gets to the airport. How exciting is that?!?!

I'm spreading the travel love, one itinerary at a time! And here's the kicker - I can plan and book your trip without adding a single extra dollar to the bill—wild, right?! 🤯

People often ask how I’m able to provide these services for free. It’s actually pretty simple! I work alongside vendors (hotels, cruise lines, car rental companies, etc.) that pay me a commission for each booking that I make, without adding any extra cost to you. You pay the same price, and I earn a commission from the companies that we book with. Pretty cool!

Aside from all things fall simply feeling so special, one of my favorite things about this time of year is all of the really great travel rates available. For most places, Fall is considered “off season”, so rates can be considerably lower! I was able to book a client of mine at insanely low rates for an all-inclusive week in Punta Cana for this fall. Why should you use a travel agent? I’m glad you asked 😉

Just this morning while I was getting ready for church, a client reached out to me because their rental car company was throwing them some surprise fees that more than DOUBLED the cost of their entire booking 🫣

As their agent, I immediately sprung into action. After spending time on the phone with multiple rental companies, I had the client rebooked with another company within 25 minutes for as close as possible to their original expected rental cost.

So, in short: peace of mind.
You should use an agent for peace of mind that we are hard at work to ensure that everything find smoothly for you even when mishaps happen 🤗

Side note—My drive to church after this crisis was averted was spent making phone calls to other companies that some other clients have booked through for similar bookings just to verify that they weren’t going to be surprised with those same fees…. With travel season upon us, and gearing up even more so in the near future, here’s a Friendly PSA from your Travel Advisor 🤗

☝🏻 If you want to travel over Spring Break or even this Summer (March-August) start planning like, YESTERDAY 😉

✌🏼 Pricing is up. . . everywhere. That includes all things travel. Although I will absolutely search for the best deals to fit your needs and desires, I unfortunately have zero control over pricing, and I ask that you set your expectations realistically.

☘️Availability is already low on some demands for summer travel. This is not a scare tactic - it’s honest and based on my research for current client requests. Let’s get moving quick to ensure availability for you!

🍀 If you use a travel advisor (even if it’s not me) please, please, please don’t waste our time looking up trips that you aren’t sure will happen. The internet is for looking, we’re here for advising and booking. I want to help everyone, but there aren’t enough hours in the day. Please don’t ask to “pick my brain” if you have no intention of traveling or if you intend to book on your own. This is a business where my profit comes from fulfilled bookings. I will happily spend as many hours as needed with you to perfect your ideal trip; my only expectation is that I get to walk away with your booking in return (which costs nothing extra to you! Wohoo!) 🫶🏼

This job looks like so much fun, right?! It is, and I absolutely love it! What you don’t see, though, is the hours that I spend obsessing over the tiniest details of your trip options, the endless research I put into finding the best options for you, the time I spend on the phone when something goes wrong with a client’s trip, and the relationships I cultivate on my own time with our suppliers. We all ask that you respect what we do, just like you would expect in your own place of employment.
