Question #2: what about AC?..❄️ do you need it during the winter months in the Calibishie area?...after the hurricane season, 🌀(November 30th, it officially ends), the air becomes drier over-all, on Dominica. 🌞The humidity from summer and autumn dissipates, and the winds pick up.🌬
Especially where we are located, there is always an ocean breeze throughout the winter months. Most of our guests never need to turn the AC on from December to March. Preferring instead, the cooling ocean breeze and ceiling fans while sleeping. 😴 Of course, we have AC, but you may not need it. Besides! the winter months are excellent months to sit around the propane fire pit 🔥in the garden here at Hodges Bay House! 🌄

Frequent questions regarding visiting Dominica, and what to expect when you get here 🌴 #1: what if I don't rent a car?...there are many ways to get around the island, and although a vehicle rental allows the freedom of a more personalized adventure, not to mention see'ing so much more... you can hire drivers, 🚕 join excursions that offer transportation, jump on a local bus,🚌 and ride share with others traveling in your direction🚗 to name but a few options.
