Camp Gulf Destin Florida
Camp Gulf on Miramar Beach in Florida was our third stop.
One of the few RV parks with pads literally "on the beach," Camp Gulf is a modern and attractive facility.
Upper campsites are close, but heavily treed with mature vegatation. Some sites are fully shaded by trees. All upper sites have a level concrete pad and pavers, which are large enough for a picnic table and entertainment, which helps to keep some sand out of the RV!
All upper sites are full service, while the beach has scheduled, fee based daily pumping. Two pools for fresh water dips, one has a super slide which is open (for a fee) on a limited basis.
Shower/toilet facilities are "family style" with individual suites of commode and shower. Though the tile looks like it was laid by a drunken monkey, they were generally clean and in good repair.
Mention must also be made of the beach with was comprised of what I call "white sugar sand." Private, pretty clean and well maintained, the initial shelf extended for quite a way into the water, making it ideal for kids.
This park was easily one of the most attractive to us, due to the lush vegatation in which to camp. And, if you want to RV on the beach, you can do so here with electrical hookups.
