We hope everyone is staying safe and well. During this COVID-19 situation, we will be doing freshening up of Hale Kai Nalu. We look forward to sharing our progress here. On the list - landscaping, painting, rust-proofing, and decorating. We look forward to serving our guests once it is safe to travel.

Hale Kai Nalu, the soothing waves, the turtles (and other sea friends) will await your return.

They're back! Hale Kai Nalu is a perfect spot for whale watching. They are out there, along with the occasional spinner dolohin pod, mantas, turtles, and other marine life.

Sanctuary Ocean Count and Great Whale Count volunteers gathered to observe humpback whales from Kaua'i, O'ahu, Hawai'i, and Maui.

Looking for Mexican food? Luquin's has been a round for a long while. Their first restaurant was destroyed by fire a few years back. They've reopened recently at a new location.

I spy a whale! A favorite activity at Hale Kai Nalu is whale watching. “Whale season” is between November and May, peaking between January and March.

More than 600 volunteers on Kauai, Oahu, Maui and the Big Island gathered on Saturday to count the number of whales spotted from shore at 55 sites, and the numbers seem promising so far.
