THE WELLNESS TRAVEL EXPERT
My name is Samantha Lippiatt, I am the Managing Director of Australia’s first dedicated wellness travel company, Health and Fitness Travel.
With a passion for travel from a very young age, I have always been happiest when on the go. I realised early into my working life that the typical 9 to 5 just does not fit with my lifestyle. I need flexibility. I crave independence. I wanted to take charge, doing what I love.
I have always had a desire to build something, to make a change in the world. After a few years on the corporate ladder, I started on my own personal health and wellness journey, which led me to explore how I could combine this with my passion for travel.
Initially planning to run my own retreats, I realised there was a bigger opportunity to bring wellness travel further into the mainstream, an opportunity to connect weary travellers and the right wellness focused hotels and dedicated retreats around the world. So I set out to bring healthy travel down under in 2014 and in the process to set up a structure that would allow me the flexibility I craved.
