The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus was a monumental tomb built in the 4th century BC for King Mausolus of Caria, in what is now Bodrum, Türkiye.It stood approximately 45 meters tall and was decorated with intricate sculptures created by the most skilled Greek artists of the time. The structure combined Greek, Egyptian, and Lycian architectural elements.
Although mostly destroyed by earthquakes, its legacy lives on — the word “mausoleum” comes directly from this site.

Kaunos is an ancient city located near Dalyan in Muğla, Türkiye. It was founded around the 9th century BC and served as a key port city through the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
Kaunos is best known for its stunning rock-cut Lycian tombs carved into the cliffs above the river, as well as its theater, baths, agora, and basilica.
The site offers both rich history and impressive views of the Dalyan Delta, where the ruins meet nature.

The Basilica Cistern is an underground water reservoir built in the 6th century during the Byzantine Empire. Located near Hagia Sophia, it features 336 marble columns and mysterious Medusa heads used as column bases. It once supplied water to the Great Palace.

Myndos Gate is one of the few surviving parts of the ancient city walls of Halicarnassus, located in today’s Bodrum. Built in the 4th century BC, it once played a critical role during Alexander the Great’s siege. The twin towers and moats are still partially visible.
