This is the 𝗞𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀, a unique and colorful entrance to the Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre metro station in Paris. Designed by French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel in 2000, it’s made of bright glass beads and aluminum, giving it a playful and modern look. The structure is meant to symbolize night and day, with its two dome-like shapes representing the nocturnal and diurnal. It stands out in the area, blending modern art with the historic surroundings, making it a cool landmark for both locals and tourists to see.

Surrounded by arches, the square has a lovely park in the center with trees, fountains, and benches, making it a great spot to relax. Many famous people, including writer Victor Hugo, lived here. Today, it’s a popular place for visitors to stroll, have a picnic, or explore the nearby art galleries and cafés.

Pretty cool spot at the back of the Sacré-Coeur. Not too crowded either.
