MEMBER MOMENTS : Donal Kelly Tour Guides NI an association representing qualified and student
tourist guides in N. Ireland.
The benefits to TGNI members include Insurance cover,
networking/socialising opportunities, continuous professional
development opportunities (CPD’s), including FAM Trips,
talks/lectures and training courses.
TGNI also act as a body to lobby government and government
agencies including Tourism NI on issues of interest to members.

Tour Guides NI have a membership of approx. 100 local tourist
guides with a wide scope of expertise and knowledge of local
history, built heritage, political history, culture/cuisine and sports.
All guides hold a guiding qualification and can offer a variety of
guided experiences in locations all over N. Ireland.
A number of ‘Language Guides’ offer tours in languages including French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Japanese, Arabic and Czech.
We also have a number of ‘Driver Guides’ who can provide their
own vehicle for bespoke experiences, and most guides can offer
both walking and step-on coach guiding experiences with some
offering their own radio guiding system.

The breathtaking Drawing Office Two is where many of the world’s most famous ocean liners, including RMS Titanic, were designed. The same craftsmen who worked on the great liners created the fine plasterwork in the room and the Villeroy & Boch tiles that encircle the main bar are the same as the ones used for Titanic’s swimming pool and First Class bathrooms!
