What places would you choose? Here are reasons for some of my choices… 📍I desperately want to return to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I love hunting for rocks, and I just couldn’t get enough of that when we were there. Also, we went in the fall, and although it was beautiful, I would like to experience the UP in the summertime too.📍In my eyes, Oregon won the award for most variety. It has the ocean, city life, pine tree filled mountains, rainforests, craters, waterfalls, and desert. And I also chose Oregon for a place I would consider moving to, because, I mean, have you seen this place?! 📍 Most underrated goes to Ohio. It’s not all flat with fields. Hocking Hills and Cuyahoga Falls National Park are beautiful lush areas we have enjoyed exploring. Also there’s Lake Erie at the top, which has neat places like Kelley’s Island and Put-in-Bay. My favorite place in Florida HAS to be Destin. I also lump together other parts of the panhandle in with Destin (Panama City Beach, Seaside, Ft. Walton Beach). They're all equally beautiful, and that water *chef's kiss* If you need beautiful water and soft sandy beaches in your life, but can't make it to the Caribbean, this is as close as you can get. Have you been? What is your favorite part of Florida?⭐️⭐️⭐️Did you know? There's a small town off 30A called Seaside, which is where The Truman Show was filmed. The homes there are pastel colors. Such a neat little place to walk around. AND you can even find the house from the film. #photoop
Here are three of our favorite highlights from our day spent on the Road to Hana!📍Pua’a Ka’a State Park, situated at mile marker 22.5, boasts a picturesque setting with two waterfalls enveloped by lush foliage. The park offers convenient amenities such as parking, restrooms, and covered picnic tables. We were able to see some mongoose running around next to the restrooms. While the waterfalls' pool is popular for swimming, access can be challenging after heavy rainfall, so be cautious and heed warning signs.📍Wai’anapanapa State Park is gorgeous, with a rugged and dramatic black basalt lava coastline, and the surf here is pretty impressive. One of the highlights here is a fascinating small cave where the ocean gently laps inside. To locate the cave, head towards the right side (facing the ocean) and search for a small opening in the cliff wall. Duck down and enter the cave—soon, the ceiling rises, allowing you to stand. You'll notice some holes in the ceiling that let in light, and the opposite end of the cave leads out to the ocean. 📍We made a pit stop at Hana Farms to refuel during our adventure, and it did not disappoint. Indulging in their delicious gluten-free pizza was a highlight. For those who prefer gluten, they also offer regular crust. Hana Farms perfectly satisfied our post-hike hunger, and their gift shop is stocked with souvenirs to take home (or mail). How much do YOU need from the sharks, and what’s it for?
Without a doubt the funnest part of our cruise in Hawaii. We did a side-by-side tour with Kīpū Ranch Adventures in Kauai. I CANNOT recommend this enough. We had a blast, which I’m sure is not obvious in the video 😏 Would you do this?
Best caption wins.. That post from yesterday with the trail to that little island in Maine? This is the same trail. I was stunned by this carpet of moss. I immediately thought of this song for the video because it felt like we were walking through an enchanted forest. Isn’t it beautiful?
