🚨 Hole in One 🚨

Congratulations to Roger Amyot!

Roger aced our 8th Hole during the final week of his golf season. This was his 5th ace of his life and his first since acing the 12th Hole last May!

Back in 2017, Roger made a legendary ace on our 8th Hole in the Ironman Scramble Tournament …We’re still not sure what was more memorable that day; the shot or the bar bill!

Nice shot, boss!

🏆 CHAMPIONS CROWNED 🏆

Congratulations to the winners of our Ironman Scramble!

Grady Linseman, Logan Widmeyer, Rob Currie and Chad Currie shot an impressive -11 to capture the title.

This was the 27th annual Ironman Scramble and quite possibly could be the toughest course set up to date. Over 50 bogeys and 5 double bogeys were made by the 48 teams in the field, but the Champs tamed the course and were the only team to reach double digits under par.

A record $10,000 was paid out in prize earnings today and your champions will take home $2000 of it.. great playing, boys!

Nathan Biljetina was the lucky winner of a twosome at Monterra Golf at the base of Blue Mountain and enjoyed his round yesterday. He said the round was awesome and the course was in perfect condition. "The views were incredible. I was very impressed. It was a great experience."

He won the passes after entering a draw at the Golf BruceGreySimcoe booth during this year's Toronto Golf and Travel Show.

Here's a statistical oddity: Connie McKinnon scored two aces in the same week on the same hole at South Port Golf Club near Port Elgin. The first one was on Sept. 22 and the 2nd one on Sept. 26, her husband Rod's birthday! She got both of them on the par 3 7th hole. She used a driver for the 1st one and a 3 wood for the 2nd one.

The CWOSSA Boys Golf Championship was held Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Stone Tree Golf and Fitness Club. View the results by clicking below. Allan Ramsay, Saugeen District SS's golf coach, would like to acknowledge the local golf courses - Southampton Golf & Country Club, The Club at Westlinks and Saugeen Golf Club for opening up their courses for tryouts. Jason Playter, golf coach for OSDSS, similarly would like to thank Legacy Ridge, Cobble Beach and Stone Tree for supporting the high school tryouts. An extra big shout out to Stone Tree for accommodating both the Boys and Girls CWOSSA over the last two days!
