Fond memories from our trip:

• The magic of marine bioluminescence and being out on Golfo Dulce at night in a small boat;
• Waking to the sound of the surf and howler monkeys at Playa Nicuesa;
• The amazing rain storms at Nicuesa, day and night;
• The birds—lots of scarlet macaws (my favorite), the amazing number and variety of hummingbirds and two quetzals at Savegre, the oropendolas and their wonderful calls at Cristal Ballena, and lots of parrotfish (also my favorite) at Caño Island;
• Eating sashimi from the skipjack tunas several of the grandchildren had caught that morning at Playa Nicuesa;
• Watching our three grandsons learn to surf;
• Seeing the expression of joy and confidence on the face of our very shy granddaughter at the end of her parasailing experience;
• Playing card and dice games with our family members at Playa Nicuesa;
• Playing pool with my granddaughter at Cristal Ballena;
• Fresh fruit smoothies everywhere; and
• Listening to Taylor Swift songs with all three granddaughters in the car from Savegre to San José.

Scott, Dibby, & family joined us in December for their third trip to Costa Rica! We love hearing about these special moments they shared together ✨

Say hello to Candace and Amyah, who joined us on an 8-day adventure in Costa Rica!

They started their adventure by celebrating Amyah's birthday and horseback riding to the Aquiares Waterfall (pictured)! They then hiked the Turrialba Volcano and whitewater rafted on the Pacuare River before traveling to Sarapiqui.
