Today is International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Each January 27, the victims of the Holocaust are remembered and honored worldwide.
During our recent trip to Germany, our travel party was able to walk along the roads of Dachau Concentration Camp.
We paused where needed, individually roamed and read the signs while each attempting to process the atrocities that occurred there.
Vacations can definitely be focused on refreshment, sunshine, and lots of laughter and enjoyment.
This particular day, on this particular trip, however, I noticed the quiet. The sadness. The stillness.
The world is an incredible place to explore. Travel allows us to experience significant moments in history that remind us all how precious each life truly is. 🤍

Whew! We just completed our @disneycruiseline Check-In!! So many thoughts… I decided to create a reel for our AMAAB families so that they feel prepared when it’s GO TIME!

Here are our SEVEN TIPS to make this process go smoothly:
1. Take a front facing picture of your travel document (passport or original birth certificate). I would also suggest saving this in your phone in a folder in case something happens while traveling. 👍🏼
2. Choose your emergency contact with phone number— they cannot be traveling with you.📞
3. Have individual pictures of EACH traveler ready to go. Watch our reel for specific details on these. 📸
4. The Children section talks about potty training, registering for the clubs, allergies, and your family safety word! Make decisions regarding these things prior and if you want other cults sailing to be able to disembark with them or if kids can check themselves out of kids club. 🧒🏻
5. Have your transportation info ready. This include flight details. ✈️
6. Onboard account— what cc will you use onboard, who has charging privileges, and who are you responsible for paying for while sailing? Your ‘travel with’ party should all be listed here if you are linked. 💳
7. Sign the cruise contract and email it to yourself. 🖊️
8. YOU DID IT!! PRINT the Port Arrival Form AND email it then to all adults in your travel party. This should be on your person and in your carry on in addition to all travel documents on the day of your cruise. It also offers to add each person’s QR code to your mobile wallet. 🎒
Like I said… whew!! You got this.
BONUS: Mentally prep. Everyone is trying to do this at once and those magical glitches happen. Take a breath, step back, try again. 💙

It’s our first day of sunshine (👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼) and we survived our first hurricane and string of tornadoes prior to the storm hitting. Thankful for blue skies!

Calling All Superhero Fans!!
Did you know both coasts have the Marvel Universe represented in some SUPER cool ways?!
At @Disneyland’s California Adventure Park there are plenty of heroes roaming around that you can meet! Food options for the biggest (or smallest) Antman fan and even an incredible SpiderMan stunt show that is a real neighborhood pleaser. Guests will also notice creative nods to the backstories of the Marvel Universe that only Disney Imagineers can capture so well. But wait! There is more… let’s not forget about the attractions!! Currently the Avengers Campus has Webslingers (where you can help defeat cyberbugs with Spidey) and also Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout (where you let gravity take control and freefall to your escape - our personal favorite). Plus, with the expansion that was just announced at D23, there will be TWO more attractions coming soon!
Over at @UniversalOrlando’s Islands of Adventure they have a whole area called Marvel Superhero Island. This section of the park is filled with all the Marvel characters you know plus some other fun hero appearances inspired by the classic comic books you love! There are 3 rides that are as equally thrilling as they are themed! Dr. Doom’s Fearfall makes you lose your stomach more than once with intense dropping. The Amazing Spider-Man Adventures allow you to go inside the story as Peter Parker navigates how to be Spidey. And for all you coaster fans, The Incredible Hulk will surely bring the adrenaline from the start! Feel the rush of the Gamma Rays as you become the Hulk and race at 67 miles per hour… even testing out zero gravity. Marvel Superhero Island isn’t just about the thrills… there are also shops, an Arcade, and even life size billboards of fan favorite like Wolverine from X-Men!
