Hi folks - Next week sees the start of the Scottish Half Terms, or when I was a kid was called the "Tattie holidays" as all the kids got off school for 10 days to go onto the farms to pick tatties.
But now instead of going to the fields, many of my fellow Scots will be leaving the Tatties, the rain and the cold behind and coming out to Fuerteventura for some sun before winter sets in.

September is a very pleasant month - warm sunshine, nice breeze perfect beach weather, and also a perfect time to do a boat trip.

September is a lovely month on Fuerteventura, it is often the warmest and least windy, making it ideal for all the various activities available.
We get lots of young families at this time of year and one of the favourites for the kids is the Mini Cruise on a glass bottom boat, this goes three times a day from the harbour.
It sails out towards Lobos island and moors off the beach - here the crew feed the fish and you can swim or snorkel while your kids watch through the glass bottom, a great family trip.
There are other family favourite trips, like the dolphin safari, or the luxury Catamaran to Lobos.

Wandering around town this morning I heard a lot of Irish and Scots accents coming from some extremely white bodies.
So Please take care in the sun, getting sunburn can definitely ruin your holiday.

I've been out and about in town over the past couple of days and been hearing lots of Scottish accents. I realised that the Scottish school exams were finished, so many of my fellow Scots have taken advantage and coming out for early summer holidays.
