Ephesus, a major Greco-Roman city one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world, offers a journey back in time to the heart of classical history. Once a thriving Roman city and home to the famed Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, Ephesus is rich in architectural marvels like the Library of Celsus, the Great Theater, and stunning mosaics.
Ephesus became one of the key locations for Paul’s missionary work. Paul visited Ephesus on multiple occasions, (Acts 18:19–21, 19:1–41), he stayed in the city for around two to three years during his third missionary journey. This was one of his longest stays in a single location.

Ephesus was a vital part of Paul's ministry, serving as both a mission field and a place of intense opposition to his message. His work there laid the foundation for one of the most important Christian communities in the ancient world.
