Imani Cultural and Educational Travels Connecting the African Diaspora through education and travel. Handy and Jasmine McCormick. Unfortunatley, many African Americans are unaware or disinterested.

Imani Cultural and Educational Travels was founded June 2012 by Jackson State University alumnae Erica A. Our passion for travel, language, culture, and history has led us to form an organization encouraging African Americans to travel abroad. As part of our travel, whenever possible, we will connect with those of African descent, who has made Europe, Asia, and the Americas their home. As former f

oreign language majors, we also understand the importance and opportunities to be had in studying a foreign language. Part of our mission is to encourage language learning, studying abroad and pursuing careers in linguisitics, international business and affairs. We will partner with local schools by providing free language lessons, scholarship/internship information and organizing travel and immersion classes abroad and within the U.S. We are beyond excited and grateful to all who will support and become a part of this organization and its endeavours. Our name Imani means "faith" and our faith in God will take us further than our dreams ever could!
