Hey Hiking Friends! I just wanted to let you know about an upcoming used gear sale the Miami Group (Sierra Club) is hosting later this month…
• If you got new stuff for Christmas and have old stuff to donate – we can help it find a new home!
• If you DIDN’T get new stuff and want to shop for some gently used stuff at GREAT prices, you should come to Mad Tree in Oakley on January 27th!
• If you want to upgrade to new stuff, but can’t justify getting it until you have room in your camping storage closet, we can help re-home some of the stuff you don’t need to make room!
• If you don’t have any old stuff to clear out and don’t need any new stuff, you should just come to hang out with us and have a beer on January 27th!
January 27th Donate and Join Miami Group Sierra Club for the Outdoor Gear Sale at Mad Tree!
Did you upgrade some of your outdoor gear over the holidays, or maybe just cleaning out that basement? The Miami Group Sierra Club is collecting donations of gently-used outdoor clothing and gear. Donated items will be sold January 27 from 10AM to 1:30PM at Mad Tree Brewery in Oakley, sponsored by our partner Adventure Crew.
We are accepting hiking, backpacking, paddle sports, skiing and cycling clothing and gear in good condition (no sporting goods - baseball, soccer, etc. - please.). You’ll not only be helping the environment by encouraging reuse, but all proceeds from sales at the Sierra Club booth support our outings and environmental programs. Unsold items will be kept for future sale or donated elsewhere at our discretion.
Donations may be dropped off January 23 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at 7291 Ridge Rd, Cincinnati. Or contact Barry Randall ([email protected]) or Denise Tingle ([email protected]) to arrange an alternate drop off or pick up at your home
