Things that make you go "Eek!" 😱

Spooky season is a great time to explore the often-misunderstood species that might send shivers down your spine, but also play a vital role in the ecosystem. Consider, for example, our favorite flying animals – bats! 🦇 These incredible creatures of the night get a bad rap. They’re the only mammals that can truly fly. Bats are also essential pollinators and pest controllers. Did you know that one bat can eat over a thousand insects in a single night? 🦟💨 Soar over to our website for more info about bats: https://ow.ly/MmQz50TTSZz

Meet the Clymene haptoera, a moth who wears its very own Starfleet badge! ✨ This tiny voyager can boldy go where few moths have gone before, charting a course through the forest without fear of being eaten thanks to aposematism. Nope, that’s not Klingon — just a fancy word for the warning message its wing colors send to would-be predators that it could be a dangerous snack. This mimicry helps these winged explorers evade threat while in plain sight with Prime Directive-level stealth. Live long and prosper, little Starfleet officer! 🖖
