YOUR FAVOURITE SOUVENIRS

This is my favourite souvenir.

It was a painting done by a local artist who had a shop near the docks in st johns in Antigua

He had some wonderful art and I had a really interesting chat with him. I spent quite some time choosing a picture.

Everytime I look at this it reminds me of a magical holiday, the beautiful island and it's people, the music etc and I just feel happy 😊

I'm going to pick in my country as I have an urge to see the east coast, go solo, but with partner, I'm not so good in groups, take a train, be relaxing and great views, travel for culture to explore the areas and history and nature, hmm maybe both shopping and sightseeing we like to wonder lazily and a bit of both for the last too, we're not lie at the pool type people, but we don't like to rush around either

HOP ABOARD THE HOGWARTS EXPESS 🚂 So you may or may not know, i am a massive Harry Potter fan I first came across the books at about the age of 13 in a school book group. I was instantly hooked, and from then on, I went to the book launches at midnight in Waterstones and have been a fan ever since. I have some fond childhood memories of the books. They were a great comfort during a not so easy time. I will always remember our town crier dressing as hagrid at the book launches as he was so tall and hairy 😆 My obsession has continued as an adult.I collect different editions of the books, and the Mina Lima's are my favourite. I have a large patronus inspired tattoo of a wolf. I listen quite regularly to the Steven.Fry narrated books there are such easy and fun listens. I quite often watch the films, the first one feel good factor and the last few for the action. And of course, I loved touring the uk to see Harry Potter filming locations, shops, bars, and cafes or places that inspired the books and films. I suppose the most moving moment for me was seeing the castle model room at the Warner Brothers studio tour i literally burst into tears. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO ON HOLIDAY? Are holidays about living it up, hitting the clubs, big parties round the pool, cocktails all around, fast paced, music, celebrations, big groups of people, etc OR Are they more of a quiet time as a family, couple or even alone, a chance to connect with nature, recharge your batteries, take your time, potter, relax, read, dine out, etc. I'm more the latter, but i do like to explore areas with my partner at a leisurely pace. I don't think I'd like to be completely in the middle of nowhere alone, I think that would actually make me very on edge. I'm definitely not a party animal, though. I like my holdiays to be relaxing and exploring, seeing the culture, recharging the soul 😀 How does your ideal holiday look?
