Sometimes you forget that the chaos of civilisation isn't everything, or everywhere.

Here's a beautiful reminder:

"It's a particularly odd thing to contemplate at a time when environmental concerns have never been greater. In the cockpit, at night, up-shining cities are among my favorite sights. But over most of the world, sailing under the dome of stars, we see only the occasional light below us, if we see any at all."

"Before I went to see him, I knew I loved getting wet.

I knew I loved going deep and I knew the deeper I went, the better it felt.

Is that a ship? A sub?

NON! It's a CHURCH!

Straight up, Norway has some of the weirdest holy sites, like this one-- a Cathedral designed in honour of the northern lights.

DID YOU KNOW: The most northern Church in the world is located on a Norwegian Archipelago really, really far away from anything. Why go there? Well, according to a certain Stewart on TripAdvisor, they have "nice coffee and crackers for guests". Anything to get people up there, really.

Surely not....

They say that taxi drivers are the ambassadors of cities. They are often a traveller's first human connection in a foreign land. And if you actually take the time to listen to them they'll teach you more about your destination than any guidebook.

Well, we may have just found THE best ambassador of all the cities in the world-- nay, galaxies.

Everyone, meet the amazing Mr. Devan Taxi from Kuala Lumpur!

His dream? For the government to recognise him as the no.1 taxi driver and call him on his birthday, Dec. 14. We will be crossing our fingers and toes for you, brother!

(p.s. If you happen to pass through Malaysia's capital city make sure to look him up on fcbk Taxi for the guaranteed ride of your life... or at least a freaking good smile and conversation)

For the lucky 13th year running, we set out on a month-long, coast-to-coast hunt for Canada’s best new restaurants. Along the way, we found a country embracing its own regionalism and sense of place. Whether it was a comfy old fisherman’s cottage in St. John’s, a gutsy little wine bar in Montreal, a…
