How lovely to receive this today - written and sent to me by one of my guests on our "Essence of Greece" cooking program.

"In the enchanting setting of a Poros cooking school, seven spirited women embarked on a culinary escapade like no other. Armed with aprons and wine, their laughter echoed through the kitchen as they cooked with wild abandon. As pots simmered and ingredients danced, their glasses were generously filled, perhaps a tad too much. Spontaneously, the rhythm of the sizzling pans ignited a tap-dancing frenzy, and they tap-tangoed their way across the checkered floor, sending utensils flying. Amidst the chaos, their infectious laughter harmonized with the clinking of wine glasses, creating a symphony of joy that Poros had never witnessed before."

5 years ago today Anthony Bourdain sadly passed . His 67 th birthday would have been June 25 th and was named “ Bourdain Day".
Shouldn’t every day be a "Bourdain Day"????.

"Eat at a local restaurant tonight. Get the cream sauce. Have a cold pint at 4 o'clock in a mostly empty bar. Go somewhere you've never been. Listen to someone you think may have nothing in common with you. Order the steak rare. Eat an oyster. Have a negroni. Have two. Be open to a world where you may not understand or agree
with the person next to you, but have a drink with them anyways. Eat slowly. Tip your server. Check in on your friends. Check in on yourself. Enjoy the ride (we particulary like the part where he was having the 4pm beer and getting there an hour before the “its 5- o'clock somewhere" crew).

I am still coming down from an epicurean high from this past weekend’s special culinary event at the Madison Beach Hotel featuring guest chef and award winning cookbook author Giuliano Hazan.

On the same day of the event, Giuliano’s mother Marcella Hazan would have celebrated her 99th birthday and we all toasted to her! And having the amazing Jacques Pépin in attendance made the night one that we will not soon forget!

Thank you to the amazing staff at Madison Beach Hotel and to everyone who attended. Buon Appetito!

Many people have asked me why I started my business. It all started with a question Oprah Winfrey posed to her audience on one of her shows. That question was “What is the conversation you can’t help but interrupt”? For me, the answer was “travel“. And with that, I began looking into creating a culinary and active travel business.
