Karen's Climb
When I came up this upper spot I got to spinning tires and had to back up and try a different approach. Karen just breezes through it.
Oak Flat With Al, Carmen and Karen
We were descending a trail at Oak Flat that I wasn't able to complete the last time I was here. Karen still wanted to challenge it, so we gave it a try.
Leaving Turkey Creek
We rode Rug Road from Copper Creek (near Mammoth) to Turkey Creek at Ariviapa Creek near Klondyke. It was 30 miles of rough riding and the last 2 hours were after dark. The scenery was stunning the whole trip.
Coati Mundi
We had just watched about 20 or so in this area earlier but they were moving and I didn't get any photos. This guy was waiting for us when we came back by.
Al Kramer's Downhill
Today near Chiva Falls we had some very interesting descents and climbs. It was a rough trail with a lot of pondering how to tackle a climb or a downhill. By the way... I am saying PUCKER, not the other word.
Brian's Turn
East of Hewitt Canyon near Montana Mountain is this gem of a canyon. I love riding it and so do Linda and Brian. It is brushy and very rocky so it is not traveled much. This is just one of many obstacles here.
East of Hewitt Canyon
Linda, Bian and I went to ride Montana Mountain today. There is a rocky, obscure canyon just east of Hewitt Canyon that is challenging and spectaculer. It isn't used much and that just makes it better.
96 Ranch with Dennis and Larry
Entering the south end of the rocky canyon on 96 Ranch with Dennis and Larry.
Steph at the Steps
Yesterday we rode through Box Canyon and headed over to the gate at Martinez Canyon and part way up the trail toward the Coke Ovens (which are "No Trespassing"). Turned back and went into Cottonwood Canyon, over the hill and through Telegraph Canyon to Picket Post Mountain. On the way home we took the Elvis Trail instead of Box Canyon. Got to the truck after dark. It was a great day.
Ross Near South Butte
Ross Monahan and Brian Janerico rode down this interesting little stretch with me to check out a trail that dead ended at the Gila River. A very enjoyable trail.
Desert Bighorns Near Box Canyon
I was riding with Kurt and Patricia Grover and Ross Monahan today and came across 9 desert bighorns. What an unbelievable sight. We watched them for awhile and they came off the cliff and grazed in front of us. When we left they were still there...ignoring us.
96 Ranch with Kurt and Patricia
Kurt and Patricia Grover are riding in the canyon that is downstream from the 96 Ranch headquarters.
