Disney has filed a patent showing how they would improve upon flying attractions such as Soarin’ ✈️

This patent details for a “more aggressive” approach to the flying simulation. Seats and rows would pitch, roll, tilt, heave, and move more in an effort to simulate true flying motion and turbulence. 😬

These changes are “intended to replicate the motion of a non-specific flying machine, having the ability to replicate motions that are more aggressive than the traditional floating or gliding experience.”

Now, this is simply a filed patent. Something could come of it and something may not. We don’t know exactly what this could bring about in the future, but it will be fun to find out! 🤩
