Celebrating ONE year of Lucky Penny Travel, an affiliate of Magical Mouse Travel!

When I was on maternity leave, I decided to take my love of travel, and turn it into a job. I am forever grateful to for giving me this opportunity, and I am so excited to see where this will take me.

Already, clients have made several trips to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fl, Aruba, Norway, Key West, Belgium, Italy, Burlington, VT, and others! In 2025, clients will be traveling to Telluride, Co, Disneyland, Ca, cruising to the Caribbean, and of course, all the trips to Disney World!

I am most grateful to those of you who thought of me when booking your vacations this past year! Those that recommended me, used me once, twice, and then again. I could never have reached any of my goals, or been lucky enough to travel with my daughter, without all of you. I hope to help many more of you with any of your travel needs, to any destination you could dream of in the future! Remember, my services are completely free!

Just booked: Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside- preferred room.

The details of this booking were unique, as the client booked with the bounce back offer! If you didn’t know, the bounce back offer, allows WDW travelers the opportunity to book again for a room discount, up to 7 days after they return from a WDW trip! On select dates, you can receive up to 35% off rooms. Don’t we all always want to go back to Disney!? Why not do it with a discount?

This client booked two rooms at POR for his large family, but also selected a preferred room category. At larger resorts like Port Orleans, preferred rooms guaranteee you’ll be closer to the main lobby, which is where you’ll check in, and find dining and shopping. The discount for POR was 30%.

Here is just one example of a question a client might ask when thinking about booking a trip to WDW. In this case, the client was between three value resorts, but decided that they wanted to be on the Skyliner, narrowing their choices down. They ultimately ended up booking Pop Century for their awesome theming and easy access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Ocean Key Resort & Spa, located at the end of Duval Street, overlooking Mallory Square, was an oasis in the heart of Key West.

There is a restaurant, spa, shop, and several bars on property. We stayed in a one bedroom suite overlooking Duval and the water. It was perfect for late night snacks and wine, once Penny went to bed.

The service was excellent and the Tropical Essence Spa treatment was a birthday treat!

Although the resort is upcscale, it was definitely kid friendly. There was a pack n play placed in our room before arrival, and the staff was always willing to help with whatever was needed.

Definitely Penny approved! 🤍

Spotlight on Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge- a deluxe resort that is often overlooked- but frequently the most reasonably priced!

I will admit, it isn’t super close to the parks, and if you don’t have a car, the only option for transportation is the bus, but I can assure you that a stay at AKL is well worth it!

Animal Kingdom Lodge has one of the most stunning lobbys of any Disney Resort hotel. It has plenty of activites for kids: nightly movies, an arcade, and amazing pool (I’ve even seen face painting in the lobby!). They have 3 incredible signature restaurants, Sanaa, Boma & Jiko, as well as a quick service spot, too! They even have a night safari where you wear night vision goggles and venture out in an off roading vehicle with your private safari guide! For adults, there are plenty of quiet spaces, bars, and lounges to pass the time.

Like all deluxe resorts, staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge gives you perks like extra evening hours and club level amenities.

I would especially reccomend this hotel if you’re doing a resort only stay because there is so much to do! Grab your coffee, sit out on your balcony overlooking the savanna, relax, and take in the sunrise, or all those giraffes! 🦒

Of all of the most magical moments I’ve had in Disney (and trust me, there are a lot), my most favorite memory is drinking around the world in Epcot, with my mom, in the pouring rain, for my 30th birthday.

Since the rain never, ever stopped, the park cleared out, and we ran back and forth between the countries and riding the rides in future world. We ate and drank on the tops of garbage cans, and got our money’s worth for the ponchos. I even had a Mickey bar for breakfast because, well, it’s Disney, and it was my birthday.

With my birthday coming up, I find myself thinking about that trip a lot. It was almost 5 years ago already. Who would have thought since then I would take my own daughter to Disney!? Truly a full circle, magical moment!

One day, I will return to Disney with my mom, and my lucky Penny, but until then, I’d love to help plan a very special trip for you and your family. Maybe it’s just you and your mom, or you and your child, or best friend… The amazing thing about a Disney trip, is that it allows you to create magical moments, with those you hold close, even if there’s no occasion.🤍
