Interesting facts about China...
The Great Wall of China
It's the longest man made project in the world and even though it's not among the 7 wonders of the world, it's typically included in the seven wonders of the Medieval world.
It was the state Chu who first built the wall. It was during the Qin Dynasty that the kingdom of Qin united the different parts into one empire. To defend off the invasions from northern invaders, Emperor Qin Shi Huang had all the walls joined up. Thus, the Great Wall came into being.

During its construction, the Great Wall of China was called “the longest cemetery on earth” because so many people died building it. Reportedly, it cost the lives of more than one million people.
Next time you visit Beijing, make sure you don't leave without a glimpse of the Great Wall..... Walk a few kilometers up, and shed a few grams 😂😂

A few things you need to know as you plan to visit China...
Nì haó is a simple hello. Every where you visit you`ll find them saying ní haó.....just say ní haó 😂😂. And you're good to go.
They use Yuan dollar, known as RMB.
There is serious language barrier, only a very small fraction of them understand English. However, incase youre buying something, they have advanced calculators.
About their foods, you must be open minded. It doesnt hurt to try. But you can never go hungry. Try whatever you can, that's cultural diversity.
Dont fear bargaining in China...You can do so esp in the markets. An item costing 60 rmb can go for as low as 20 rmb....
Take as much water as you can while in China, bottled water is safest and very cheap
Get a local simcard, there is no roaming in China.
By the end of your visit, you`d want to visit China again and again.

The magnificent Forbidden City in Beijing China.....

The Forbidden City used to be the imperial palace in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and ordinary people were not allowed in without permission. Hence, it was called the "Forbidden" City.
Took 14 years to build 1406-1420. Covers 178 acres and consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8704 rooms. It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Building in 1987.
It's no longer forbidden today , and is a leading tourist site in the world.
