Desert views + meaningful work = a great week

Im rolling through the desert on my way to the Hopi reservation where I'll be helping out with Tipi Raisers (https://www.thetipiraisers.org/). They're a organization dedicated to empowering Native American communities.

Tomorrow I'll help put a roof on a building at a sacred Hopi village. Im not allowed to film!

I was going to just drive through Kennebunkport, but it looked so cool and charming I decided to get out and see what was what here.

Kennebunkport is a coastal town in Maine that has these shingle-styled buildings and houses which you can see in at least one of these photos. I don't think I've seen that before so I was interested. The Wabanaki were the original inhabitant here before colonization. Then it was a shipbuilding and fishing village and eventually became a retreat for the Bush presidents.

I felt a very chill vibe walking from the town center to the edge of the Atlantic ocean. Some adventures are just peaceful. I also like that this was definitely an artists colony with all the galleries and the art on display throughout the town.

I met a very friendly woman walking her dog who chatted with me a bit and warmly welcomed me to their town. 
..And I wasn't planning on get out of the car! Cool things unfold when we step into the unknown and embrace new places, people, and experiences.

I feel animals add beauty to my journeys. They help me understand our natural world and remind me to be present. From the feathered friends I’ve met to the gentle giants of the fields, each encounter has been a lesson in unconditional love and the interconnectedness of all life on Earth. 🌍❤️
