SUNDAY APRIL 7, 2024, Here is this week's Weekly Planner:
We will most likely have a Beach Buzz tonight! The team will be returning from Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama this evening. These are not guaranteed, and locations are never known! Your best bet to catch one of these buzzes is the Casino Beach area near the beach ball water tower at Pensacola Beach. We're expecting tonight's Beach Buzz generally between 5:45pm and 6:45pm. Watch out for today's post at 12noon! Peyton "Radar" Burnett will provide realtime updates!
There are scheduled practices this week on Tuesday and Wednesday! There will be no autograph session on Wednesday as previously annotated, it has been cancelled.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We are tracking cloudy skies Tuesday and thunderstorms on Wednesday. If you have schedule flexibility, I would plan to watch on Tuesday this week. PLEASE do not ask for personal updates for weather. Yes, they fly when it's cloudy. No, they don't fly in thunderstorms. It's all based on visibility! They also do not make weather calls hours or days in advance. They decide these things close to practice time, that is why it is important to watch our Tuesday and Wednesday morning "status posts".

Linked below is the latest schedule and watch-locations. Watching the practice sessions from on-base behind the National Naval Aviation Museum is the best front stage view. Please make sure to review the attached graphic about accessing the base through the West Gate as well as having a state-issued photo ID for anyone vehicle occupants that are 18 and over. Note: The base relaxed their real ID requirement.
Additionally, If you are approaching from areas west of the base, please follow Sorrento road to the Blue Angel Parkway intersection (near Wal Mart), and turn right. There are signs on Gulf Beach Highway directing "Air Show Traffic", ~that's you!
Also linked below is a map with the 4 best land-based places to watch as recommended by other Blue Angels Fans. This map shows exactly where their FAA Airspace closure is. You cannot see a practice from Pensacola Beach or further east. You also cannot see it from Perdido Key (very distant view), Orange Beach or further places west. Review the map. Also, new this year is a listing of many area charter boat companies that offer various charters and boat rental options to view these practices by water!
Tune-in here the day of each practice. I make a status post at 7:30am central time that I update in real-time when there are delays, cancellations, and when they take-off and land.

The National Naval Aviation Museum is pleased to open the flight line behind the museum to view Blue Angels practice flight demonstrations. Gates open at 9:30 AM and the Blues are scheduled to take to the skies at 10:30 AM

Remember, the museum and these practices are open to DoD ID card holders and their guests who can access NAS Pensacola.

**The practices can be viewed from other areas, including Fort Pickens.
