New roadbook, available now!

We've just added a new roadbook covering South Shropshire to the library. It's a 124km point-to-point route with a short liaison at the end to get back to your starting point. It starts at the services in Chruch Stretton and ends at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre just down the road, covering 225 waypoints.

We were out last weekend riding the Gloucestershire Gambol roadbook. The route takes you through some of the best lanes around the Cotswolds and is beginner, and big bike friendly. Available to buy on the app now!

I've been working on a mega update! The next version will include a ton of improvements based on feedback from the Xplore Roadbooks event.

Here's a preview of some of the changes to the Nav page. The trip details take up less space, so you can see more tulips on both tablet and phone. I've also added some coloured backgrounds so it's easier to see what you are looking at when glancing down.

I need your help, though! If anyone is using an Android phone, what device are you using? Is there a common phone amongst roadbook riders (similar to the Tab Active 2 that everyone uses)? Let me know

🔔 We launched 3 new roadbook routes on the app last week! The Three Counties (Staffordshire, Cheshire & Derbyshire) a new Shropshire North Route & The Gloucestershire Gambol.

The Gloucestershire Gambol starts at the brilliant GWSR station at Toddington, a volunteer-operated heritage railway and is well worth visiting. https://www.gwsr.com/stations/toddington

Been busy this week building even more new features! 🚀

The app now has landscape mode (you can enable it in Settings > Navigation), and now that we've got digital roadbooks (No PDF's) i've started to add some helpful features that allow you to interact with the roadbook.

Now, if you tap on the waypoint coordinates box, it will ask if you want to navigate to it in Google Maps. This is super useful for a few reasons: to navigate to the start point of a roadbook, to quit the route and head back to the finish point, or simply to find the next waypoint! v1.0.6 should be available in the next 24 hours; we're just waiting for Google to approve the changes on the Play Store.

A new version of the app has just been released! It has many new features, so many I've forgotten all of them. Here are a few I can remember: open street maps with the route plotted, you can now long press the trip for edit and reset, you can preview a sample roadbook without making a purchase and more...

The BIGGEST change, though, is to the roadbooks themselves. Gone are the days of cutting PDFs and images together (as many apps do). We built a completely custom OpenRally GPX translator.

I am still working on a ton more features too but if you have any requests, let me know!

Unfortunately, The Hay Hurdler route going live will be postponed, the van popped an injector en-route to Hay on Wye! The good news is it's given me 2 days to work on the app. Added a 'cheat mode' to show a map in case things really go wrong! Also working on the ability to manually set the trip just in case the tablet decides to do an update or eat a battery mid-route.
