In the general area of Dept. Limousin there are now 10 short-mat bowling clubs.
The majority were based on social needs but are now becoming interested in playing more competitive bowling.
Within the immediate area, using a 1 hour travel guide, it would be very easy to establish a league which would offer a target beyond the accepted social meeting of those wishing to satisfy that competitive spirit.
There are discussions, at the moment, with a club in UK which wishes to visit here for a low-level competition and some of the local clubs here are prepared to make suitable arrangements.
There are competitions in UK with players from most of Europe. They usually total nearly 300 bowlers and we should try to increase the numbers of competitors from France above the single bowler, resident in France!
If you are between the ages of 16 and 80 and you already bowl to a suitable standard, why not consider that you might improve your own bowling by joining one of the local short-mat bowling clubs.
