The Samurai Tour keeps getting better every year. Now a 37-day epic adventure, it’s divided into three stages—each offering a fresh and unique perspective of Japan’s beauty and culture. From iconic cities to serene countryside, this tour has it all.

Our Honshu Island tour explores the Kii Peninsula, known as the Spiritual Heartland of Japan.
Our route meets with the Kumano Kodo trail in several stages, giving riders the opportunity to take in some of the ancient pilgrimage route and visit the iconic shrines.
The views are truly breathtaking and the feeling of being immersed in ancient history and tradition is surreal.

Exploring the rugged Pacific coast on the Kii Peninsula. Each ride greeting us with quiet, undulating roads, offering views of dramatic cliffs, rocky shores and the deep and varying blues of the ocean. We climb winding roads and decend into deserted coves and tranquil fishing villages. It’s breathtakingly beautiful in so many ways.

Wrapping up the final leg of our Mt. Fuji adventure we circle around the Izu Peninsula. We pedaled along the stunning Pacific coastline, taking in breathtaking views and catching a few last glimpses of Fujisan across Suguru Bay. A perfect close to an unforgettable journey!

The Inaugural Cro-Magnon tour has arrived in Bordeaux! 🙌 Congratulations to all our riders on completing your Epic journey across France. 🇫🇷 A very Special thank you to Vincent Reboul for leading the team and Congratulations on bringing this dream to life. Although unlike our other Epic tours which often follow in the footsteps of a famous historical figure, the Cro-Magnon tour is in its own way an Epic adventure on many levels. It is at once a cycling journey across beautiful and varied landscapes. Taking us from mountains in the east, over classic cols, through rugged gorges and along meandering rivers. The route takes us to the lesser travelled regions of France. A country steeped in culture, tradition and modern history. Taking us from Lyon to Bordeaux, visiting little villages lost in time and enjoying the wine and gastronomy of these areas. We also get an extraordinary glimpse into pre history. Visiting caves and historical sites where Cro-Magnon man (Early modern humans) was discovered. We learn about their life and the tools they use for survival. Vincent brings it all to life with his fascinating knowledge and life long passion. The Cro-Magnon tour is one of our most accessible tours. With a 2.5 cup rating, it is still a challenge on the legs but the days are generally shorter and gentler than some of our more Epic tours. We include more 2 night stays which means more optional rest days and chances to explore the towns and catch your breath. It is also one of our shortest tours in duration making it easier to complete the full Epic tour. We couldn’t be prouder of Vincent and the team for bringing this all together to create a truly unique cycling experience. We pride ourselves on sourcing highly experienced guides who consistently maintain their passion to guiding. Keeping a sense of discovery and joy means that you as a guest you have a better and more fun experience.

Where possible we source local guides that speak the language. Our founder and director, Dylan himself speaks 4 languages and we look for guides who speak the language to ensure a full emersion into the culture on tour.

We have a base in Europe which means when there is extra route scouting, tour perfecting or problem shooting, we are always on the ground, ready-to-act and not in an office on the other side of the world. This means better routes for you, better tours and faster trouble shooting for our guests.

Our guides really know how to run epic tours! These types of tours are very specialised and require special skills to run. This is why not every cycle tour operator is able to offer these types of rides to the same consistent standards. This means that you as a guest can rest easy on our tours, knowing that you are with the best in the business.

Our Founder and Director is present on all new tours and is normally highly involved in scouting to ensure superior logistics and trouble-shooting. Some companies will send other staff members, however we believe that operations run more smoothly when the management, head office staff and the guide team know each and every detail.
