This beautifully designed split level detached family house, built in the 1980's, is close to Crinan Basin where the Crinan Canal joins the sea. ating make it a delightful room to gather in throughout the year. Sliding doors lead onto a deck balcony where guests can watch the glorious sunsets and the gentle movements of boats. The deck gives direct access to the pretty garden and a path and steps lead down through woodland to the picturesque harbour where many yachts are moored. The friendly village of Crinan with its historic canal is just a short walk. Watch yachts sail in and out of the Atlantic, stroll along the shoreline or canal paths, enjoy freshly caught seafood or just relax and unwind in this beautiful location.Crinan Canal quayside offers facilities such as a coffee shop and art gallery and the Crinan Hotel, which is renowned for its bars and seafood restaurant. The canal towpath is perfect for walks and cycling and has a hide for bird watching across the nature reserve. The whole area boasts a number fascinating walks that allows visitors to explore the natural beauty of the area and the local wildlife such as otters, owls, beavers (close to the only beaver colony in the U.K.) The house is 16 minutes away from the town of Lochgilphead. The town has a variety shops, cafes and restaurants, hospital/doctors surgery, a swimming pool,golf course and sports center. There is also a bike shop to hire bikes. Boats can be chartered from the harbour and there are trips around the islands to see whales, golden eagles and porpoise. Guests can visit the island of Jura which can be seen from the house.
