Let's learn more about the Lavender Farms along the Tour de Lavender route 💜

Next up is Jardin du Soleil Lavender
📍 3932 Sequim – Dungeness Way, Sequim
💻 https://www.jardindusoleil.com/
📱 (360) 582-1185

Jardin du Soleil is a certified organic Sequim lavender farm, cradled in the rainshadow of Washington State’s Olympic Mountains.

Planted in 1999 on land that was part of a dairy farm established in the 1880’s, our 10+ acres of organic lavender surround lush Victorian gardens, ponds, and fruit with the Strait of Juan de Fuca beyond.

Thousands of lavender plants create a wonderfully fragrant vista.

State-of-the-art lavender oil distillation provides the quality certified organic lavender essential oil used to produce unique and beautiful lavender products for the bath and body, the home and the garden.

The Olympic Peninsula is the farthest northwest expanse of land one can explore along the US coast. This alone would be enough to motivate many to come see it, and for the rest of us, there’s also this amazing trail.

The 135-mile Olympic Discovery Trail is composed of road and multi-use path. Today, more than half of the ODT route is on non-motorized paths with more added every year.

It would be impossible for us to detail everything worth seeing along the Olympic Discovery Trail. The possibilities are indeed endless!

This was a really hard decision, and it pains us to say it, but Frosty Moss Relay will not be happening on Saturday.

We know that you are a fine bunch of hardy Pacific Northwesterners, so please know that our decision has less to do with current trail conditions (which are overall OK with the exception of the Adventure Trail which would have been left out of the race), and more to do with the snow predicted for race day. At the time of our decision deadline, the forecast was (and still is) for 95-100% chance of snow starting around 5pm on race day and going into the night. All teams finish after this time and some of our teams are out on the course until 9:30 pm. We decided we are not willing to risk teams, staff, and volunteers having to drive in potentially hazardous conditions. And we also know that many of you from out of the area were also planning to make your way home the same night, making further risk. We also care about the volunteers needing to be out for long hours when the temps would be below freezing (with wind chill into the 20s).

As you saw in the confirmation email you got when you registered, we asked you to hold April 1st at the backup date in case the race needed to be rescheduled. We have confirmed with 7 Cedars that this still works, so Frosty Moss Relay 2023 will take place on April 1st - NO FOOLIN' !!!

Because we asked you to hold this date, we do hope that you plan to stick with us and race this gorgeous course. And seriously, we put the swag bags together last night and they are A.MAZ.ING. If you cannot make the backup date, please reply to that email for your options with regard to transfers or partial refund.

We love and appreciate all of you! Many of you have raced with us countless times in the past at multiple of our events and know we do not make this decision lightly. It was pretty agonizing in fact. But we are moving on and we hope you'll move on with us. See you April 1st!
Your Frosty Moss Team,
Lorrie, Tim, Shannon, Michell and Tom

⚠️If you're planning to visit the Olympic Coast this week, keep an eye on weather reports. We may see some high winds and waves. Remember that strong waves can move the giant drift logs on the beach with ease and have caused fatal accidents, so use caution and good judgement.
