This is my new home in Cloghane and this is the lounge before renovation. I moved the kitchen into the back of the room so that breakfast/dinner can be enjoyed from the rear balcony where the views of the mountains and old church can be enjoyed. I removed the entrance door, the LPG stove and re-centred a new fireplace. Replaced all the windows and doors, stripped and painted the floors. Have a look at my reel to see the difference. Today is Chris’s 40th birthday in heaven. I would like to believe that he will never grow old and forever remain 33….. I’ll share a Jack Daniel with him, as I’ve done each passing year and imagine it’s filling his glass in heaven. Please, say a prayer for Chris today and send him birthday wishes in heaven.

Well I didn’t expect to do a full renovation of Ocean Breeze but I couldn’t help myself! Found a small leak under the floorboards in one bedroom and realised the ‘older’ bungalow side wasn’t insulated under the floors or walls. As this meant lifting all the floors it led to the decision to level those floors as the back of the house was 24 inch higher and there were three steps from back to front in three areas. Well as you know if you’re into renovation this led to other decisions like replacing the central heating and as I was doing that I decided to replace all the existing windows and doors for new triple glazed units and I might as well reconfigure the space altogether. This beauty is now my new let on the Di**le peninsular in the Gaeltacht village of Cloghane, Castlegregory. Known for its beautiful Brandon Mountain walks, The Maharees (have to be seen to be believed), Di**le town and so much more. Located on The Wild Atlantic Way where holiday dreams are made whether it’s horse riding on the beach, surfing the waves or driving the scenic ring of Kerry. Within easy reach of Kerry airport, Killarney, Kenmare, Castlegregory and Di**le not to mention the craic, music and food of the local area. The perfect romantic getaway or family vacation awaits you. 2 double bedrooms, bathroom and stunning kitchen, lounge and dining area with balconies front and back with stunning views. Sleeps 4 (SeaBreeze ) or maximum 8 between SeaBreeze and the cottage next door (intercommunicating door). I haven’t decided on a name for the cottage yet but it provides 2 en-suite bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), a snug lounge and a separate kitchen. Both properties have private patio gardens, where the nearest neighbours are the sheep!
