7pm-Romesightseeing.net: there were actually ship battles in the Colosseum? They were called “Naumachiae” and it actually happened just a few times (maybe just 5 times) in all Colosseum’s history. Sometimes it was a historic reenactment and other times, they’d actually put criminals already condemned to death to perform in these naval battles. Imagine this enormous pool filled with ships and gore entertainment!⛵ 🛶
