Life at sea and life on land share many challenges .. especially when nature shows some real force. Hoping for a quick recovery and rebuild to those effected most. We are Sailing to Cairns to take a family out on charter tomorrow. Road transport to Port Douglas is open via the scenic inland route along with sea ferries running daily. The coast road will be closed for a while yet. Spotted Many choppers up and down the coast including an army Chinook heading to Cape Tribulation. The recovery is happening and the hardy North Queenslands will bounce back. It’s still a great holiday destination.

Pretty cool for a grandma to reel in this queen fish on her own. She loves to fish and we made the effort for her. The whole family enjoyed the healthy protein rich meals for the next day or two.

This shot was captured on the Ribbon reefs (Steve’s bommie ) … then the camera dropped out of free-diving depth. A few days later we received a message from a diver who had found it and checked photos to find the owner. Lucky for us and grateful for the act of kindness.
