If you have the drive and desire to serve the best community, Glynn County Fire Rescue is looking for you! We are currently accepting applications for the position of FIREFIGHTER/ADVANCED EMT & FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC. We will provide all of the training to get you to the FIREFIGHTER/AEMT or FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC level. So whether you’re uncertified, firefighter certified, and/or EMS licensed, come join our team! Our physical agility test will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 with interviews following on May 22 & 23, 2023 for those who pass the physical agility test. Apply at glynncounty.org and use the JOBS button at the bottom of the page.

Lets Ride

A little back ground about myself. I have been in public safety since 1992. I am currently working for the Glynn County Fire Department as a Lieutenant /Firefighter/ Paramedic. I served in the U.S. Navy Reserves as a FMF Corpsman, from 1998-2006. I have been a life long resident of Glynn County. I have been married for 18 years, with 2 daughters, 1 son and 2 grandsons.

I came across this opportunity thanks to Captain Larry Crews, Jekyll Island Fishing Center. I have worked/trained with him for the last 4 years on his Charter, Bait and Airboat. He has taught me allot about the area and how to operate on the water. I continue to pull on his wisdom as I take over the Airboat operations.

I love being on the water and experiencing Gods creation up close. Every trip out is like opening a new present, we never know what we will see or experience. We have seen Dolphin, Sting Rays, Logger Head Turtles, Alligators, wild Hogs, all manner of Birds and Manatee. We observe these animals/mammals in there natural habitat, as God has intended. We work very hard to minimize our foot print on the habitat and keep it as natural for future generations as possible.

If you have never been on an Airboat then now is the time. It is an experience unlike any other. So make some time and come ride with us, see what God has provided us.
