This , we are thrilled to feature Few & Far Co-Founder, Sarah Dusek, whose resilience, forward-thinking, and deep enthusiasm for empowering women to achieve their full potential is driving unprecedented growth and innovation in the travel and ecotourism industry.

Like many businesses, Sarah founded to solve a pain point in her own life. Entirely bootstrapped for the first eight years, Under Canvas’ elevated camping model surmounted obstacle after obstacle, ultimately selling in 2018 and receiving a spot on the coveted Inc. 5000 list in 2017.

Named to Ernst & Young’s EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women list, Sarah later founded , a private investment firm aimed at supporting women-led businesses in southern Africa, helping over 10,000 entrepreneurs since its inception in 2019. There, Sarah aims to demystify the complicated and often inaccessible world of funding to help make capital accessible to women, thus driving economic and social progressive change.

Fast forward to 2024, Sarah’s latest venture, Few & Far, aims to redefine the modern safari experience through carbon-neutral immersive experiences in the best eco-minded luxurious accommodations around the globe to drive conservation efforts, foster social resilience, and empower communities through sustainable economic practices.

Today marks the dawn of Few & Far, a reimagination of sustainable safari and ultra-luxury outdoor travel, inviting you on a journey where wonder meets wanderlust.

Brought to life by travel & hospitality industry veterans Sarah Dusek & Jacob Dusek, formerly of Under Canvas, Few & Far is a project that has been underway for the past several years, aiming to redefine the modern safari experience through carbon-neutral immersive journeys in the best eco-minded luxurious accommodations in extraordinary remote and wild locales around the globe.

More than just a travel company, Few & Far is a passion project dedicated to reshaping how we explore the world while leaving a positive impact. Our initial 25 meticulously crafted experiences promise sustainable and luxurious itineraries in off-the-grid locales such as the Peruvian Amazon, Botswana Bush, Italian Dolomites, and North America's most exhilarating wilderness destinations.

Later this year, we will debut our first-ever sustainably-minded safari eco-lodge, a biophilic 60-room experiential luxury abode, located atop South Africa’s elusive Forgotten Mountains within UNESCO’s Vhembe Biosphere Reserve–one of the world’s most biologically diverse regions (more biodiversity than all of Europe combined). The experiential lodge seeks to redefine the African safari with a unique solar-powered aerial experience: a state-of-the-art cable car system will traverse the reserve on a 40 km track, providing guests with a revolutionary game viewing experience.
