Trente ans après sa mort, un titre inédit de Michel Berger a été dévoilé ce vendredi 7 octobre 2022. Initialement prévue pour l’album « Beauséjour », la chanson avait été supprimée du projet, faute de place sur le vinyle.

The Chesapeake Bay region is home to more than 18 million people and 3,600 species of plants and animals. But the landscape of the Bay region was vastly different before European colonist came ashore more than 400 years ago. Countless Native American tribes lived from Virginia to New York — and they still do today!

This Indigenous Peoples' Day, we're acknowledging and honoring the original stewards of the lands on which our offices sit, the Piscataway, Susquehannock, Anacostans, Nanticoke, Powhatan Confederacy, and Chesapeake tribes. What tribe calls your area home? Learn about them at www.native-land.ca.

Please take a moment to reflect on the history of indigenous peoples around the world and in Maryland and the ongoing need to fight for environmental justice for the indigenous community and other marginalized communities. Today and every day is a day to advocate for our state's and country's first inhabitants and celebrate our shared stand for a healthy earth. The image above is Maryland through the lens of https://native-land.ca/ which shows the land that belonged to different indigenous groups.

Today we celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day by highlighting buffer restoration efforts on native lands!

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is known for building partnerships that enhance coastal resilience. Their dedicated work with the Mattanock Town's Restoration Plan is a science-based restoration process that marries tribal history and the best available science to maximize native habitats and reconnect the Nansemond people to the local river.

When the first European colonizers came to the Americas, they encountered Indigenous People who were very connected to the land, using nature to benefit themselves, while also remaining respectful of the environment.

: American sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua) produces spectacular fall foliage as the star-shaped leaves turn yellow, orange, red, and purple! This member of the witch hazel family can grow 80-100 ft tall in full sun or part shade and almost any soil. American sweetgum is so named, because sticky gum oozes from the bark when it is injured. It is also responsible for the spiny fruits (gumballs) that make our yards interesting in late summer. 🙃However, American sweetgum is worth a second thought, as it supports over 30 species of butterflies and moths, including the Imperial moth and the Hickory Horndevil moth! The trees are nitrogen fixers and provide large areas of shade. Songbirds – especially goldfinches – feast on the seeds and the insects that (try to) live in the nooks and crannies of the gumballs. 📸Tangopaso
