Saint Errant is a microbrewery located in Elk Grove Village inspired by travels and friendships made with the ever growing community of craft brewers. We have a strong focus on intensely hopped IPA's and high gravity stouts, yet are fascinated with exploring the world of mixed fermentation beers.
A new brew for us, offering a refreshing reminder that elegance often lies in the purest forms. Mother of Sighs creates complexity in simplicity with layers of Citra two ways. Our first true single hop beer.

🥃SKOSH🥃
SKOSH is a blend of four stout recipes aged over years in various barrels. The intention of this beer was to provide purest expression of what barrel aged stout can be, giving the experience of a blending session among the barrel stock. There is intentionally minimal carbonation, allowing only the carefully selected blend of grains and spirits to create the finished product.
Barrels: Blanton's, Sazarec Rye, Woodford Reserve Rye, Heaven Hill
Time in Barrels: 22 to 37 months
And yes. We're doing it. What started as whimsical idea morphed into a pragmatic reality. The packaging format for this beer is a BAG IN A BOX. This allows for unlimited pours at your leisure, much like opening one of your favorite spirit bottles. The beer is mostly still, as intended. A raw, unadulterated drinking experience. This box contains 1500ml of liquid, or for those who skipped math, the equivalent of two 750ml bottles or three 500ml bottles.

We're on the road this week bringing back a banger. Lush tropical notes of passionfruit and lime with the North and South Pacific Citra Motueka combo, Strata brings the kush. It's a palate bouncer.

OUILLAGE is a blend of two English barleywine recipes brewed over 2 years ago.
One recipe that was brewed with wheat and rested in 7 year Weller Barrels for 26 months. What resulted was straight toffee, notes of maple syrup, oaky vanillins, and subtle chocolate.
The second recipe was brewed with Belgian candi sugar and rested in 10 year Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #2 barrels (the resultant liquid is quite hard to find). This met us 24 months later with deep notes of fig, rich cacao, and a balancing note of noble hop.
Blended , we found a liquid greater than the sum of its parts.

Tomorrow at 10AM we will be releasing OUILLAGE, our Barrel Aged English Style Barleywine.

💥Fall Barrel Aged Stout Release💥
If you've been following along, we've dropped a few hints about the barrel program we've been cultivating over the past couple years. Well, its time.
The release will occur via Oznr with pickup at starting next Saturday, 10/21. Exact details to follow.
The following stouts will be part of the release.
We'll have one other surprise dropping with these.
RARE FORM - Blend of two Imperial Stouts rested for 16 months in Blantons barrels and 19 months in Thomas Handy Rye Whiskey barrels. No adjuncts, just wood and time.
RUIN OF SOULS - Blend of Imperial Stouts rested for 22 months in Weller and Thomas Handy Rye Whiskey Barrels. The final two months in the barrels included the addition of Madagascar Vanilla beans followed by a finish on raw and toasted Coconut
ORIJEN - Single origen, Single adjunct. Imperial Stout rested for 20 months in 17year old Wild Turkey Masters Keep barrels with the addition of Tongan Vanilla beans for the final 3 months. Amazing sweet smoke, smooth boozy char, and notes of hazelnut from the grain and wood followed by massive notes of marshmallow without overshadowing the beautiful base.

Two on a Raft is the first beer out of a little project we've been working on for the past year. We brewed up an imperial kettle sour and decided to let it rest in some DRIPPING wet 12yr Appleton Estate Rum barrels. It came out as we intended tasting like straight rum. To complete it, we then let it finish on hundreds of pounds of Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Key Lime, as well as a mess of almonds. Despite all the fruit, this still sits at >10%abv straddling the line between cocktail and beer.

Taking it back to where we started and things are a little clearer now. Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo, and a touch of Columbus. A hop profile near and dear to us now coming at you in our new West Coast IPA.

We were slinging beers at in Helsinborg Sweden last month and did some mashup blending of a couple of our IPA's being poured. We were pretty stoked on the thiol interplay so decided to put the pieces together in a new beer. Pressure Drop combines Citra, Mosaic, and our hand selected Nelson Sauvin and Motueka. All that Pacific NW juice with a Southern Hemisphere twist.

Whether it be at Northcenter Ribfest or the Air and Water Show, there’s no better way to start your weekend than with this juice-bomb, Green Clouds. This hazy IPA is dripping with passionfruit and tropical citrus punch. Let’s hold on to summer for a couple more months and enjoy a beer in the sun.
