The 9 years of Volkspower have seen it kick on from a very small air-cooled dub show to a much bigger event that has seen it expand on all fronts. The scene is more diverse and sees a broader range of vehicle on the show field. Club stand Saturday grows every year and the Show n Shine on Sunday sees a superb array of marque with exceptional quality VWs joined by American muscle and more traditional classics. Our core is as a car show and as long as that remains and is supported we will remain in situ. However, it's not just about the cars. We now have a music platform which will see over 20 live acts take to the stage over two marquees with some high energy crowd pleasers through to the more eclectic brand of the Tent of Quirk showcasing some of the finest local original acts. There is kids stuff and entertainment alongside and a great trading and catering area. For all of that, one of the ways in which we have developed which has most impact is seeing Carry on Cruizing build in to a an event itself within Volkspower showcasing some of the best custom bikes from here and abroad. All credit goes to the Cruizados and others who support us year on year and travel from all over the UK and from Europe to enjoy the superb cycle routes we have available in the area. They are a show in themselves and everybody who attends Volkspower is able to join them on a ride out on Saturday (full details later) and enjoy an evening of 'Silly Games' a la bicycle on Saturday evening. The Cruizados have had a competition for a design for a t-shirt and this is the winner from Jonathan Boulton - it's a great pic. Roll on July for the 10th anniversary and more dubbin' by the Sea :)
