Two Cali girls that moved to Texas and somehow ended up doing our shoot in Arizona! Shelbie Riley I am so glad the clouds were just perfect for us!!! ❤

"Tuffy the Buffalo "

I was doing a photo shoot down at San Pasquall Valley Ranch yesterday, and while I waited for Tracey to tack up her horse, I looked over and saw my childhood. Out in the bright morning light Shealyn was chillin out on her horse as he ate grass. All the horses have been locked up from the rain and eveyone was out and enjoying the sun. But this was the best to me... I instantly thought of hanging out on my pony and how there is nothing else that matters... You are there with your best friend, the sun is warm, you can hear them chewing on the grass and you are in your own world... because you can. I had a great time doing my shoot and this short minute was part of it.
I sure am grateful for my pony Cookie when I was a kid and how my Aunt Punk would have me over every weekend and all summer to ride and play non-stop with the horses. ( I am sure my parents were grateful for the break hahaha) Getting to hang out and climb all over your horses and not care about anything as a kid is priceless. I almost forgot until I saw Shealynn laying on her horse backwards without a care in the world. I am so lucky I get to do what I do. My photography has allowed me to travel all over to beautiful places and meet so many great people! But this right here is the heart of it all... my roots with horses had brought me to where I am today. Thank you Mom Maureen Bonham Dennis, Dad Ralph Brito, and Aunt Punk Marlene Bonham Webster for all that you did for me as a child so I could have horses in my life.
