I recently had the privilege to travel with my family on an early 10th wedding anniversary trip to Greece and Turkey!

We flew direct from Newark to Athens on the amazing Emirates airways and immediately did a nighttime bike tour!

We spent the next day touring the Acropolis, doing a private food tour and going north to see the temple of Poseidon along the Athenian Riviera.

The next day we took a day trip to the ruins of Delphi (probably one of my favorite parts of the trip as I love a good mountain view). We topped that day off with an amazing dinner in town.

The next day we started our 7 night cruise on the Norwegian Getaway with port stops in Mykonos, Istanbul, Kusadasi, Rhodes and Santorini.

In Mykonos I found us a day pass to a resort to enjoy the Aegean beach life for the day and had the most amazing Souvlaki!

Istanbul had us seeing all of the amazing mosques, palaces and markets with a private tour guide that catered to our ice cream craving children in the hot Turkish summer.

We took a cruise excursion in Kusadasi, Turkey to the breathtaking ruins in Ephesus and saw a Turkish carpet demonstration.

In Santorini I booked a last minute cruise excursion to sightsee and break plates during a traditional Greek meal.

We ended our trip on a private transfer with a request to stop at a local winery and had the place to ourselves and picnicked among the vines before heading to the airport.
