Today on November 2 Ecuador celebrates the day of the dead, El dia de los Mu***os. Part of the celebration is to prepare and eat guagua de pan and colada morada. The bread symbolizes the person that is gone and the morada the blood. The colada morada is a fruit drink normally made of 7 different ingredients, and is served warm.
