It's been a busy summer for Whispering Trees. Now only have availability from 3pm 23rd August. The site only closes in the month of February so if you're looking for winter walking or a quiet getaway we're here for you. It's super cosy with central heating.

Such a lovely well kept Holiday/Caravan Park. No driving along dirt tracks in the grounds. The walking area for dogs is at the top of site and there's plenty of doggy waste bins. Perfect. 💕

Lochmaben, once the home of Robert the Bruce is a small town only a short walk away. It is rich in history with 3 lochs: Castle Loch, Kirk Loch & Mill Loch which provides opportunities for sailing & fishing. Take a 5km walk around Castle Loch where you can see all its wonderful wildlife & the ruins of Lochmaben Castle. Day permits for fishing can be purchased by visitors.
You may wish to visit the nearby Lockerbie Garden of Remembrance where the 270 lives were lost in the 1988 Lockerbie Air Disaster.
Dumfries, the final resting place of the Scottish poet/lyricist, Robert Burns is only 8 miles away where you will also find the oldest camera obscure in the world.
Galloway Forest Park, the largest forest park in the UK is a must for its scenic drives, exploring, walking biking, bird watching & otter spotting.

If heading along the coastal route or along the A75 be sure to stop off for some gift shopping and a bite to eat & drink at Castle Douglas Food Town.

Whispering Trees holiday home is located in the beautiful countryside of Dumfries & Galloway on Halleaths Caravan Park; a mile from Lochmaben, Lockerbie. It is a well maintained, peaceful and secluded 4 star holiday park set within a boundary of trees. Just beyond it there is the tranquil Castle Loch with its stunning scenic backdrop for walking around and capturing some amazing sunrises and sunsets.
This is a fantastic location for accessing the many tourist sites within Dumfries & Galloway and its surrounding areas. There is so much to do and see, you will want to keep coming back.
Explore the history of the local villages and towns or drive along the Solway Coast, taking in its breathtaking rocky landscapes and sandy beaches ~ a camera is a must. A superb get away for walking, cycling, golfing & fishing or just to kick back & relax. Situated only a few minutes drive from the A74 (M) providing easy links to Glasgow, Edinburgh, North East of England, Cumbria & M6.Also close to the A75 route from Gretna to Stranraer near Cairnryan for catching the ferry over to Ireland.
Halleaths is a dog friendly site but they must be kept on a leash. It has a two acre woodland path for dog walking. There is no on-site entertainment however there are local pubs, restaurants and takeaways a short walk or drive/taxi ride away for those seeking it.
