An initiative promoting the research/experimentation of immersive experiential environments along with the showcase of media artists and musicians.
PROX-I educates the public on the emergence of digital experiences and promotes the idea of virtual environments and its narratives surrounding the digital world. This initiative also caters to the experimentation, performance, and showcase of creatives such as media artists/students, tech enthusiasts, or anyone with bright ideas.
We've been waiting almost 3 years for this!

On behalf of the Science Centre Singapore, representing PROX-I, I would like to thank everyone who helped make PROX-I: Inaugural Special Showcase a SUCCESS!
Many thanks to Sara-Jane Tan and Dr Pang for all the support, to Jannah Monjiat for being the best host in the world for the day, and to everyone else from Chong Li Xian and June Chen for guiding the visitors to where they should be, Leong Jenny for the good food, Sebastian Sim for patiently manning the registration, Kay Francis and Zulfadhli Zameer for all the technical support, and the facilitators Pamela Koh, Jaga, Venessa, and Joslyn for staying late after a hard day's work. Special thanks to Yusri Shaggy Sapari and his crew from Paradise Pictures for documenting this event and Amin for the impressive sound system!
Not to forget the most important all things; SUPER THANKS to the bands Sphaeras and T-REX sg, being the first two bands to have ever played a full set at the Science Centre Singapore! To the solo acts Circuitrip and S*I*N, both were truly an eye/ear opener to our visitors that day! To Wu Jun Han for feeding us with the mind-bending visuals and that interesting talk with no shoes! We love you for that. ;) Last but not least to Lithe Records for helping to put all these things together!
We welcomed many new and long-time-no-see visitors that day and received good reviews from them with the hope that there will be more of PROX-I.
Well, here's to many more from us at the Science Centre Singapore!

Join us this FRIDAY at the Science Centre Singapore for a performance like no other!
60 young musicians from Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO) and local schools will perform original music they co-composed to interact with multiple exhibition spaces, all based on the elements of Fire (Fire Exhibition), Water (E-mmersive Experiential Environment - E3), Earth (Earth Exhibition) and Lightning (Tesla Coil @ The Atrium). This performance is the culmination of a 3-day Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (YSTCM) Creative Workshop 2016 facilitated by a team of YSTCM student leaders.
Admission is FREE!
In collaboration with Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, will play host to "Exploring the Elements - A Musical Journey" on 18th November 2016. Join us for this one of a kind musical performance by an orchestra featuring talented young musicians from local high schools as they explore the elements of music and science.
