Finally I have some free time to post pictures of our fly fishing trip to the Virginia Mountains. As always it was cold but that is all part of the game with winter fishing! The fish were plentiful but water levels were low and the fishing was tough but nothing we could not handle. It was a blast hanging with this great group of guys. Thank you Escatawba Farms Fly Fishing for the hospitality.

Quetico 2017 was another great trip. Experienced the Northern lights, heard one of the wolf packs and caught some great fish! Thank you Voyageur Wilderness Programme for the put in and take out. Your accommodations are always top notch and professional. It is always good from you guys to share the history of your islands, family and the canoe culture in Quetico that we love for clients to experience.

Colorado was as expected amazing and beautiful. We accomplished multiple aspects such as several 14ers, fly fishing, rock climbing, backpacking and just plain old enjoying some beautiful sights!

Had a great training hike for our upcoming Colorado trip. We do not have the elevation but we put in some miles! Hyperlite Mountain Gear southwest 3400 is the most comfortable pack I own.

What a great explanation of the Alpine Mountaineering and Technical Leadership course I recently returned from in the Cascades. I met a lot great guys and future climbing partners! The Alpine is something to experience but should have some technical training or have a good mentor before attempting. Thank you American Alpine Institute for our guides/instructors who were informative, professional and very knowledgeable.

Why would you willingly sleep on the ground, hike for hours in winter weather, and eat freeze dried meals that don't expire until 2047? ...especially when you could be sitting on a warm tropical beach, drink in hand, for less money.

Shenandoah National Park 2017! The Appalachian Trail was beautiful. We had wind , wind, wind, hail and more wind. It was great to get out and put some miles on the AT and a few side trails.
