Amazing that people think acknowledging Black History Month is a political stance; and something they find racist.

But, who does this surprise? Not I. I love Lush.

Spent a week in Cartagena, Colombia! It was an unprecedented trip. We made the decision on where we would be headed Friday evening! We loved it. I'll post more photos soon.

I've been in Rio de Janeiro for a bit over a week! I've just arrived in Salvador, Bahia and I'm pretty excited for this city. It's warmer - and though I arrived at night, I can feel the difference in the city's vibe already!

After having our Yellow Fever cards lost in Ethiopia we were already unsure if we'd be able to cross into Tanzania without them. But, we had Passport Health email us our vaccination receipts! Problem No. 1 averted.

BUT THEN, I forgot to go to the ATM and pull out enough cash for my Visa. ($100USD pp). Whoopsie! So, we got there and they were trying to send us back to Kenya after nearly getting through customs - UNLESS someone let us borrow the money for my Visa. Someone did! We got through. And they held our passports until we gave the money back.

There were many that were (rightfully) concerned about me traveling to Kenya during a point in time where a horrific act just took place. Many of the local Kenyans I have spoken to have shared that it was a dark day for their country and they are saddened. They know the risks that take place at their border - yet they still feel safe in Nairobi and cities away from the border. I do not feel unsafe and I am aware of my surroundings! Kenya is a beautiful country and like the rest of the world faces a bit of turmoil. The lives lost were those of scholars with bright futures ahead.

1st: These are some good looking leaves! It's Da Hong Pao.

2nd: My Coleman thermos is THEE best thermos. It has maintained the perfect steeping temperature for this tea for 3.5 hours!

3rd: I really do love this tea. It is so dog-on good! I'm ordering more.
