Tried Mak's in Singapore and it lived up to expectation, same as the ones in Hong Kong. Portions are small so even I was able to eat 2 bowls. The amount of noodle per bowl was enough for 6 mouthful, maybe less if you have a bigger mouth

Tim Ho Wan, completely a dim sum restaurant located in Hong Kong is a Michelin 1-star recipient. This place is definitely not fancy and there are 5 locations in HK. The original hole in the wall has since been closed. They have also expanded into Singapore (6 locations); Philippines (4 locations); Taiwan (4 locations); Kuala Lumpur (2 locations); Jakarta (1 location); Sydney (1 location) and Bangkok (1 location). I have tried the first location in Singapore (Plaza Singapura) and must say the baked bbq pork buns were different from the ones in HK. It's more a shredded pork vs the chunky bbq pork in the original one.

Risotto with Parmesan and White Truffle.....this dish ($80) was smaller than the side dish we ordered! Good thing the waiter shaving it noticed me filming him, so he added some extra shavings at the end :)

Been've waiting to try out their famous fried chicken. The chicken is definitely tender, moist and juicy, and very flavorful. The batter is a little too much for my taste. But the beautiful Napa Valley setting makes one forget all about a little too much batter!
