Would you like to learn more about the plant and animal species of Montreal? Learn while you play? Enjoy an experience that combines walking and virtual reality?
VerdunReality is the activity for you:)
From July 20 to 23, the Montreal borough of Verdun will host this immersive multimedia performance, guiding participants along the banks of the St. Lawrence to encounter the biodiversity of this urban environment.
This 90-minute multimedia performance has been specifically designed to take place along the banks of the St. Lawrence River, in the Montreal borough of Verdun.
Accompanied by guides, participants (re)discover both physical and virtual places, though not necessarily fictional ones. The walk is punctuated by stops designed to raise participants' awareness of the local flora and fauna, through immersive, multi-sensory experiences. At two stops along the route, games are played using virtual reality headsets. After removing the headsets, the game continues in real life. Through immersive games and stories, participants become familiar with a world populated by more-than-only-human actors.
