We can't forget about Dear Ole Dad!! We have no doubt dad would love a guy trip to the hill country! We are thinking....maybe a round of golf, some zip lining and then cool off at a couple of local breweries or a distillery. And while all good things must come to an end, end it on a good note with some fantastic barbque from The Saltlick!! We think a Dear Ole Dad tour is exactly what he needs! Or you can always schedule one for yourself and your buddies...we don't judge!!

The Desert Door, one of our favorite stops on the distillery tour. What started as a class project by 3 military vets while working towards their MBA, has become this beautiful and unique distillery serving up the best "Texas Tequila" or Sotol. Sotol is in a class of it's own. Derived from what some consider a w**d, it is actually from the artichoke family. Do a tasting or pick a cocktail from their drink menu, either way, you will not be disappointed!

Let me answer a few questions that I have received in private chat.

Will you pick up split parties?
--Yes. If they can make it to I 10 when Im going through, yes I will. I dont think it is fair to everyone else for me to drive 20 min out of the way to pick up one person.

If I have a group flying in to Houston, would you pick us up there?
--Yes...or Austin for that matter. I can pick you up at the airport, take the tour with the night stay, then bring you to a second destination the next day.

I live in Austin, but have friends in Jefferson County. Will you bring my friends to the hill country and leave a seat open for me?? I can meet you there!
--Yes, it will be the same price as the other seats.

Will you do a six person tour?
--Yes, there will be a bit of an increase for 6 people, but we can do it.

I want to surprise my hubby with this for our anniversary. I would like just a two person tour.
--We can do that. There will be an increase in the rate, but we can definitely customize it for a great experience. The house is located in a golf course subdivision, there is zip lining near by. Of course, the river. That evening, I would suggest the fabulous Italian restaurant located next to the winery. Looks like something straight out of Italy. Then we can find live music somewhere, or you can go back to the house and hang out in the hot tub.

Do you stay at the house during the tours??
--No sir, I stay off premise. Sat evening after all the sightseeing is done, I will drop everyone off and leave.

Don't forget to like our page!! We can customize any tour depending on the group. The tour includes transportation your entire stay. From wineries, breweries and distilleries to golf, shopping and ziplining. Also any concerts at Gruene Hall, Whitewater Amphitheater, Mercer Street Dancehall or the Devils Tavern on Saturday night. We have seating for 6 to 14 people, for the day trip. 6 to 10 people for the overnight trip. If you are wanting a day tour only, pickup time in the hill country is 10:30am. For the overnight trip: We leave out of Jefferson and Harris Counties. We leave on Saturday at 7am (Jefferson) 8:30am (Harris) and return on Sunday. Breakfast burritos are included for the trip over and the fridge will be stocked with breakfast foods for the second day, if desired. The van will leave out of Wimberley at 11am Sunday and arrive back in Harris County about 2:30, Jefferson County by 4:30. Late departures are available for a small fee. Late departures would consist of leaving Wimberley around 4:30pm. Each tour is 6 people minimum, 10 people max tour. Sleeping arrangements are 3 bedrooms with a king and two queens, and two queen sleeper sofas. There are also two twin air mattresses for anyone who would rather not double up, but max for house is 10 people. See pic of house below.
