The Boy Who Lived & The Girl Who Travels It started as just a trip and has turned into a never ending adventure. I travel the world to do "all the Harry Potter things" and share how you can too.

How it all came about:

You never realize how strong your love of a fandom is until you subconsciously immerse yourself in it. You spend hours to create the perfect cosplay for your next con, but when you subconsciously get dressed like your favorite character for work, it’s really real. I didn’t realize how much I loved Harry Potter until I was halfway through the logistics of a trip around the

world just to do “all the Harry Potter things.”

Putting together travel plans with friends has always been something I enjoy. And after my "world tour" I feel it is my calling. Geeks traveling all over the world to explore and expand upon their fandom is my goal. Tell me your OTP and I will have an itinerary for you in no time.

Let me tell you about a reoccurring nightmare I had right before I traveled to Dubai. In the weeks leading up to my flight, I dreamed I got on the plane, arrived overseas, got to customs, and (you guessed it) didn't have my passport. Sometimes it ended in me being arrested. Other times I just cried as I made the 24-hour flight back home. [ 264 more words ]

For most people the answer to that question is nothing. Nothing is more stress or rage-inducing. It's inconvenient and time-consuming to get it replaced, and if you're already overseas, well, crap it just sucks to be you! So for all you kiddies, I have a personal story to share. Something far worse than losing your passport. Something so freakish and ridiculous you have to laugh. [ 1,018 more word ]

I love checking in for my flights. It gives me a chance to move my seat if someone picked the one next to me (I'm an aisle girl), or seriously contemplate upgrading if the flight is long and my day has been longer. Delta Airlines has decided to automatically check-in passengers who use its iPhone app. Passengers will automatically get their boarding pass sent to their phone. [ 75 more words ]
